I don't know how it is possible, but Hailey is 18 months old! She is a much more active toddler than Sarah was (and gets into more trouble) and we constantly are chasing her! Still she is just the most cuddly and sweet little girl. Here's a couple of photos from her 18 month photo shoot. She wouldn't sit still, so in order to get the closeup I had to put her in a bucket and give her mini M&M's!
I've been working on my lighting and although it isn't perfect I'm getting closer. I took more Valentine's Day pics of Sarah today since I didn't get any good ones of her the other day. I had her practice smiling in the mirror beforehand because she is always giving me a cheesy grin. I'm also posting another pic of Hailey for Valentines day. She just won't sit still and was running off the background.
I took the girl's Valentines Day pics the other day. I'm not done editing all of the pics, but here's one of my favorites of Hailey. I'm not sure if I picked the right background color because it is causing a pink color cast on her skin. I'm just happy that I had a lollipop to give her - it is the only way to keep her still for 30 seconds. :)
As I've become more and more interested in photography I've tried (and bought) new things. Last year for my birthday I got a background stand and paper. I'd set everything up in the family room on a nice sunny day with natural light. Of course that involved me moving all the furniture and a ton of setup and clean up. And living in NY there isn't that many sunny days! So, I now I have a studio in our basement! I'm very excited. I started simple with one light and a big reflector. Here are the results:
I still have a lot to work on as far as positioning the lights. So now I'm looking for some kids to practice on. :)
Fall is definitely my favorite season. We love going apple picking (Sarah says it is her favorite) and we usually go a few times each season. We went for the first time on Saturday. Both of the girls loved it. Sarah had to have her own bag and did her own picking. Hailey loved touching the apples. We managed to finish right before it started pouring. We picked Cortland and Macintosh. They are a bit bitter, so I'm going to have to do a bunch of baking.
